Artist Development Academy

Under the umbrella of YoungCo. LLC, Shawndell Young and his team of performers, musicians, and teachers run the YoungCo. Artist Development Academy. The ADA provides four categories of coaching for those who have a desire to grow as musicians and artist. Shawndell operates under the teaching ideology of pairing real life experiences with intense technical and pedagogical teaching. Shawndell and his team utilizes their years of formal education and experience in teaching, performing, and music industry credits to provide a robust and impactful learning atmosphere for students.

Voice Coaching: We offer weekly and biweekly voice coaching sessions. These lessons are traditionally individual 30 minute or hour long sessions where shawndell and guest coaches work on healthy sound production, vocal technique and hygiene, song delivery, and performance practice. 30 Minutes lessons are offered at the $40 rate.

Songwriting Lessons: We offer weekly and biweekly songwriting sessions. These lessons are traditionally individual 30 minute or hour long sessions where shawndell and guest coaches work on song forms, lyrical content, and solo accompaniment. Shawndell provides opportunities for his students to display original works. Shawndell Curriculum focuses on strengthening the pen and conveying meaning to the writers vision.

Piano Lessons: We offer weekly and biweekly piano lessons. These lessons are traditionally individual 30 minute sessions where shawndell focuses on sight reading, piano pedagogy, and practical application such as the Nashville Number System.

Music History and Theory Sessions: Training on basic to advanced music theory and history concepts.
